Four Wins for Leicester Shootfighters at MMA Show Fight UK 4

Date: Sunday, 05th June, 2011
Location: Liquid Envy Nightclub, Leicester

In the first fight on the card Jamie “Daywalker” Molyneaux submitted Muay Thai fighter Limon Osmani by triangle choke just 1:58 in to round one in a textbook display that was surely a contender for Submission of the Night.

Next up Chris Miles made his debut in a heavyweight match against Adam Corbett which was a total tear up that really got the crowd going. Both fighters battered each other around the cage standing up, in the clinch and on the ground with Chris just getting the better of his opponent for a split decision win.

Ranjeet Baria rocked Andrew Smith with punches early and repeatedly took the fight to the ground dominating there with ground and pound and submission attempts, including a tight triangle choke which almost got the tap, on the way to a unanimous decision victory.

Liam Corrigan never let Paul Jones in to their fight, taking his opponent to the cage, scoring takedowns and gaining dominant top positions to land ground and pound. Each round ended with submissions attempts from Liam, the fight ending with a tight looking kneebar about to get the tap. This win has earned Liam a title shot for the Fight UK amateur belt.

Caius dropped a decision loss in his bout which was awarded Fight of the Night and Subaig‘s fight got stopped in the first round when his far more experienced opponent landed some strong strikes on the ground.

Four hard earned wins and a couple of contenders for Fight of the Night for Leicester Shootfighters!
