He opened his first school with his father Jorge Popovitch (now a 7th degree black belt in BJJ) in 1995 and is the head instructor at The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Center located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
His achievements include ADCC -77kg World Champion, World & Pan American No-Gi Jiu Jitsu Champion, 7 time Grapplers Quest Champion, 10 time NAGA Superfight Champion and Grappling Hall of Fame inductee.
On this seminar he focused on the guard passing and top game that he is known for and which has led him to wins over fighters such as Diego Sanchez, Kenny Florian, Marcelo Garcia, Jake Shields, Marcio Feitosa, Renzo Gracie, Saulo Ribeiro and Andre Galvao.
Leicester MMA Academy hosted this seminar on behalf of UFC referee Marc Goddard and would like to thank Pablo, Marc, Erik and everyone who attended for making this such a great day. It was a privilege to have one of the world’s best grapplers at the gym.
